If there’s one thing in which our culture is deficient, it's focus. However, there’s more to it than that. If focus is the root, then the fruits of that focus are things like perseverance and consistency. The only thing standing between you and your most extraordinary goals is enormous, consistent, and quality action taken in the right direction. Oftentimes it really is that simple.
But simple is not the same as easy. I’m reminded of a story by insurance and media magnate Patrick Bet-David that happened at one of his sales conferences. (I might mess up some details, but you’ll get a clear picture.) He asked a room full of his agents to stand up and raise their hand if they made ever had a day where they worked 18 hours. 90% of the room, ~2000 people, stood up. Then he asked, stay standing if you made 200 calls and set 20 appoints per week, for at least four weeks in a row. Only 100 were left standing. Two months in a row? Only 8 were left standing. Three months? Three people. Two? Two people. This went on until he got to 7 months. Only one person was left standing, and that person had made over a million dollars in revenue that year.
Putting in quality work that actually moves the needle over a consistent period renders you super human. It doesn’t need to be anymore complicated than that.
Focus and consistency, are the keys to making that happen.

We recently worked with a realtor, Melanie, who was super frustrated she wasn’t consistently driving new leads and new listing. When the market was up, she’d get referrals and things were good, but all of the sudden everything dried dry up and she was considering switching careers.
In our first session, we helped her set a modest target of five new conversations a day. That’s it. Five people. She put it into practice and, wouldn’t you know it, she got addicted. Within weeks she had raised her target to 35 contacts a day, and she’s kept up that pace for 3 months straight.
As you can imagine, she no longer has to worry about when referrals or new listings will come in.
